LETTERS FROM THE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

MISSION AND VISION

ATHLETIC PHILOSOPHY AND PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The interscholastic athletic program of Northern Michigan Christian School should be an integral part of the total school program. Athletics should never be thought of as being separate from or above the normal functioning of the school. The program should fit in with and contribute to the purpose of the school. The purpose of the athletic program is the growth and development of all participants and all others related to the program in such a way that God is honored and praised.

ATHLETIC LEADERSHIP VISION:

Sports serve as an extension of the classroom where student athletes grow in their faith and God-given talents through transformational opportunities where Jesus Christ is central. Student athletes are equipped to impact the world for Christ through the pursuit of excellence on and off the playing surface. By being part of the team and by building community, student athletes are involved in a missional opportunity greater than the individual. Student athletes, coaches, and community members are encouraged to live out our "Comet Commitment" everyday.
